We can all relate to fear. It is NOT your friend IF it is holding you back from pursuing things that will improve the quality of your life. Being free from the control of fear is possible, and should be pursued. A fearful person is not a free person! For years I nutrured fear and it dominated my life.
WORK – I stayed in a job that was toxic, kept my head down, did my work, felt suffocated, and did not feel free until I clocked out for the day, then it started all over again the next day.
Fear of: Losing my job
RELATIONSHIP – I stayed in a loveless relationship, it was dead on my part, and as much as I tried the fire was out. I was miserable but justified my reason for staying.
Fear of: Hurting someone else and being alone
PHYSICAL WELLBEING – I stayed overweight and unhappy because every “diet” I tried didn’t work and I thought I was meant to be that way…Fat genes in my DNA.
Fear of: Being Disappointed AGAIN
I eventually discovered that there was a way to turn down/off the voice of fear, and turn on/up the voice of confidence to do better and be better and I did.
What are the fears holding you back right now from being and doing better? PAUSE and listen to your heart!
Fear is a common feeling that we will encounter during the course of our lifetime again and again. However we do not have to live a life of fear and have it dominate our day to day living. This could be the day you start the cycle of being free from its control. Here are a few things that has help me break the cycle of fear.
- Pick the area fear is most dominant
- Write out how it is affecting your life
- Write out how your life would benefit without fear in control.
- Make the decision to stop feeding that fear and feed your mind instead by changing your thoughts (with what you want). Write it down and share it with someone to help hold you accountable
- Take action – this is where confidence will awaken to be dominant and fear silenced.
Commit to doing the work and the results will show, less fear control and more confidence awakening.
Ready? A better quality of life to gain is your guaranteed outcome.
