Lately, have you found yourself in a position of knowing that you need to get something done like yesterday? Before it was a gentle nudge or impression within, but then it evolved to in your face messages confirming you need to – yeah, get it done?
It’s not that you’re lazy, or that you don’t care, it’s not about procrastinating either, it’s just you’ve been giving your attention to other areas that are important, there is the matter of timing, and maybe secretly you’re hoping it would just sort itself out, or go away. I know, I’ve allowed myself to envision that happening too, but no, I’ve had to eventually “get it done” or not, and live with the consequences.
Every attempt to deny the existence is no longer an option, because reminders are everywhere, and you’re literally fighting against the internal dialogue going on inside your mind. So, what do you do? I’ve been in that place recently and as I began to put pen to paper to map out what I need to do, I saw this statement in my local newspaper “get it done!” I smiled, and realized the universe, God, was sending me a message of confirmation – it’s time.
You identify it: stop running – is it a lack of self? confidence, worth, image, acceptance?? or is it with another person and what type of relationship is it?
You address it: first with yourself by pinpointing what needs to be done.
You act: in accordance with what’s in line with your personal values
Remember, If it’s with another individual, you don’t have any control over how they will respond or react. You’re only in control of how you will be. Time to get it done, the process of following through – identify, address, and act, will not only provide you with life learning experience, it will enhance your personal growth and take some unwanted mileage (stress) off your life.
Tell me, what signals do you get that lets you know it’s time to “get it done”?
